Hackett London and Carl Friedrik begin working together. Reputable British menswear company Hackett London has announced a partnership with modern travel gear company Carl Friedrik, based in London.
According to both brands, the four-piece capsule collection of travel accessories is designed for the “modern globe-trotter of discerning taste” and provides subtle style, quality, and functionality for the busy traveler.
Inspired by the shared British heritage of both brands, the collection features a 40-liter carry-on suitcase with long-lasting, silent Hinomoto spinner wheels and a 69-liter check-in suitcase with aluminum lock frames approved by the TSA and durable polycarbonate shells for maximum security and durability.
Additionally, there is a Luggage Tag for customizing luggage and a Compact Weekender made of smooth, velvety nubuck leather, which is intended to provide a streamlined and adaptable choice for work, the gym, and overnight travels.
Starting on May 2, the Hackett London x Carl Friedrik collection will be sold both online and in-store. The range of prices is 49–465 pounds.
Naomi Campbell and Boss unveil a travel capsule Hackett London and Carl Friedrik begin working together.
In an effort to spur womenswear growth, German fashion giant Boss has revealed a travel capsule collection created “in close” partnership with supermodel Naomi Campbell.
Today, February 15, marks the introduction of the Naomi x Boss collection, which features a line of “laid-back” basics inspired by Campbell’s fast-paced lifestyle and aimed at the modern, sophisticated traveler.
It features contemporary silhouettes paired with the brand’s recognizable tailoring, as well as outerwear, flexible stretch items, high-end leisure wear, shoes, and accessories. Additionally, the line has cutting-edge technology materials with finishes that are wrinkle-free, water-repellent, and bacteria-resistant, all “intended to make life a bit easier.”
“You’ll find pieces in the collection that are versatile and comfortable,” Campbell said in a statement regarding the lineup. These are the kinds of items that perfectly capture my way of life—always up for the next adventure, but never sacrificing fashion.
“The fabric also has an anti-stress design and an anti-crease feature, so you can be on the go without worrying about wrinkles.”
Hugo Boss hopes to collaborate with Naomi Campbell to drive the growth of womenswear.
Important components include a large double-breasted, pinstriped grey wool suit that is wrinkle-free and has an RFID-protective pocket lining that blocks electromagnetic frequencies to stop contactless card scammers. Combined with matching long-sleeve tops are super-stretch jersey leggings with zippered hems for customizable style and an anti-crease fabric with a bacteria-resistant finish.
Additionally, there’s an oversized raincoat with croc-effect embossing that’s water-repellent and has extra stretch for comfort, a cotton-terry sweatshirt with a portrait of Campbell on the back, and a loungewear set that consists of a funnel-neck hoodie and loose track pants with an ivory or purple leopard-print motif.
Senior vice president of creative direction at Hugo Boss, Marco Falcioni, continued, saying, “Working with Naomi is always an honor. From the beginning, she showed a great deal of involvement and passion for this endeavor. Naturally, she came up with the concept to design a collection with a trip theme, based on her own experiences, likes, and inclinations.
“She is aware of what she wants and contributed thoughtfully and creatively throughout the process, fusing her own distinctive style with the Boss fashion guidelines. We had a great time working together, pushing ourselves beyond our comfort zones, and asking each other for advice when faced with particular design obstacles as we realized her distinct vision via the Boss lens.
The collection will also benefit causes that are dear to the supermodel. In the UK, the company will contribute one piece of Boss inventory to Smart Works for each unit sold at Boss stores and on boss.com, with a minimum donation of 1,000 pieces. In order to give each unemployed woman the confidence she needs to succeed, Smart Works helps them prepare for job interviews by giving them new clothes for their business wardrobe and one-on-one coaching.
The Naomi x Boss capsule will be sold at Boss stores throughout the world as well as at exclusive pop-ups with important partners like Bloomingdales New York and Selfridges in London. A massive outdoor advertising campaign and a 360-degree marketing effort that is boosted on social media will also help to support the partnership.
This is not the first fashion collection that the supermodel has created. Campbell and Pretty Little Thing, a fast fashion company under the Boohoo Group, collaborated on a collection of dresses, separates, jumpsuits, accessories, and shoes last year.
